
Microsoft has tested energy consumption among the world's top browsers, confirming that its Edge browser surpasses both Google Chrome and Firefox from Mozilla.
Although battery life measurements and comparisons are difficult to measure because of the many variables that determine it, the US software giant has published a video showing how its browser is superior to other browsers.
In the photo recording, Microsoft has put Edge, Chrome and Firefox on three computers "identical" with the latest update "update creators" from the Windows operating system, and ran a video to know who is less consumable computing power.
According to Microsoft's comparison, Firefox was the most energy-intensive device, with the device shutting down after 7 hours, 4 minutes and 19 seconds, while Chrome held for 9 hours, 17 minutes and 3 seconds. EDGE was the best in energy consumption with 12 hours and 31 minutes and 8 seconds.
The company, which launched a few days ago to update the annual creators of all users of Windows 10, in a publication on its blog that the web surfing takes more than half of the time spent by users on their devices. "We are committed to providing the best, best and fastest browser possible."
Microsoft said in its publication that its browser Edge over browser Firefox by 44%, and Google Chrome by 31%, in test conditions simulates the normal web browsing with the opening of several tabs.
