Microsoft will soon release a new product to compete with the Chromebook


Microsoft is expected to unveil the new Windows 10 Cloud operating system next month at a hardware and software event in New York City.
It is likely to unveil during the conference many of its new devices with a special version of Windows 10, which can first carry the name Windows 10 S or Windows 10 Cloud.
Some hardware specifications announced during the event point to low-cost, low-cost devices to compete with Google's ChromeBooks, while we'll have to wait until May 2 to see exactly what Microsoft plans.

The Microsoft event focuses on education, a field where Chromebooks thrive. The Windows Central site has an internal Microsoft document detailing the minimum hardware specifications Windows 10 Cloud will run.

One of the main goals of these new devices running the Windows 10 operating system version Cloud is to provide more than 10 hours of battery life, or an effective day of battery life for students.

Other specifications include:

Quad-Core Processor (Celeron or Better)
4 GB of RAM
32 GB of storage (64 GB for 64 bit)
Battery larger than 40 WHr
Fast eMMC or SSD for storage
Touch screen pen (optional)
