Google finally reach to agree with Russia about Android


The US company Google has finally reached an agreement with the competent Russian authorities to end the lawsuit against the company on Russian soil because of its operating system Android, ending years of dispute with the authorities of this country in the competition with the Russian search engine "Yandex".

The Russian search engine Yandex has filed an issue within the Russian territory on Google under the pretext of exploiting its position to promote the rest of its services, where it is known that Google "forcing" smart phone companies that use the system for mobile devices Android to use its core products, such as the store, "Play Store" and mail "Gemel" and others, which means there is unfair competition by the company, which prevents third-party developers from putting them on par with Google.

This prompted the competent authorities in Russia represented by the Federal Anti-Monopoly Agency and after a lawsuit from the Russian company Yandex competition dating back to 2015 to download Google a fine of up to 7.4 million euros, accounting for 9 percent of the company's income on Russian territory which The company agreed with its commitment to open its system to third-party developers and treat them equally and thus not to exploit its dominant position to promote its applications and software.

Google has faced major problems across the world by forcing manufacturers using its system to use its applications by default, where it has sued space companies against the company in the former EU countries.
